POSTPONED: Susan Padron to Present April 2020 Alloy Academy Workshops on Brand Image

*NOTE: Our “Transform Your Professional Image Through Your Personal Style” workshops originally scheduled for April 1 and 2 are being postponed to a later date. This page will be updated with the new date when it is finalized.

Alloy Silverstein welcomes Susan Padron, founder and owner of Susan Padron Stylist, to guest present our April 2020 Alloy Academy lunch workshops.

Transform Your Professional Image Through Your Personal Style

Personal stylist Susan Padron will help you understand what your outfits say about you. Whether you are in a professional or a casual setting, the clothes you choose to wear, communicate with the people you encounter. What is the message that you want your outfits to say? What do you want your first impression to look like in a professional setting?

Other questions that the presentation will address:

  • How has the idea of “dressing professionally” changed over the last 10 years?
  • What does a business casual dress code look like in 2020?
  • How can I connect my personality (or my brand) and my personal style?
  • What can I do if I hate everything in my closet?

This presentation will transform the way you feel about yourself. Susan will help you feel like the best version of yourself every time you get dressed, no matter if you’re dressing for a professional setting or a casual one.

About the Speaker

Susan Padron

Susan Padron is an intuitive personal stylist. Susan helps women work through limiting beliefs, so that they can start showing up as their best self by expressing their personality with personal style.

Susan’s journey as a personal stylist dates back to when she was a teenager. She’s always loved selecting outfits for friends and family, so that they can see themselves the way that she sees them. Styling remained a hobby throughout Susan’s adult life, while she pursued a degree in music education. She taught middle school band for seven years.

Following the birth of her son, she took a year off from teaching, and once she returned back to teaching, she realized how unhappy she was on her career path, and she had to make a big change. It was around this same time that clothing subscription services were gaining in popularity, and one of Susan’s friends said to her, “I like what you pick out for me more than what I get in my monthly box! You should be a stylist!” That was exactly what Susan needed to hear to start her own business as a personal stylist.

Susan began taking online courses through Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), connected with mentors who were established personal stylists/image consultants, completed a certification for Fashion and Celebrity Styling through School of Style, and dove into the process to launch her business.

After a year and a half of teaching full time and developing her personal styling business, Susan was able to leave teaching to pursue styling full time. Since then, she has worked with personal styling clients all over the United States with her main focus on clients in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York City. In addition to working with personal clients, Susan also enjoys doing wardrobe styling for commercial photo shoots.
