Fall 2017 Spotlight Employee: Christopher Cicalese, CPA, MSTFP

Our firm spotlight this quarter is on Christopher Cicalese, CPA, MSTFP

Chris graduated from Rutgers University–Camden in 2011, earning a dual Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, and attained his Masters in Taxation and Finan¬cial Planning from Widener University in 2012. He began his accounting career at Alloy Silverstein in 2007 as an intern and, as of July 2017, is now a Manager at the firm. The New Jersey Society of CPAs named Chris a “30 Under 30” in 2015 due to his impact on the accounting profession and our South Jersey community.
 
A licensed CPA in the state of New Jersey, Chris is a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs, Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs. He has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams and may offer securities through 1st Global Capital Corp, Member FINRA/SIPC. Chris is also licensed to sell life and health insurance.
 
With his tax, accounting, and business background, Chris values being an extension of his clients’ team that they can turn to for advice. He enjoys helping his business clients grow and watching them find continued success. In that respect, he has developed a specialty in working closely with family entertainment centers and other businesses in the amusement and hospitality industry. Chris has also formed a niche expertise by partnering with professional athletes, PGA, and LPGA Tour professionals to help simplify their uniquely complex tax concerns. His other clientele includes businesses in the construction, real estate, and professional service industries throughout our Greater Philadelphia region.
 
As Director of Cloud Services at Alloy Silverstein, Chris guides our team members and clients in achieving efficient and paperless processes by training on how to use Xero and other custom app integrations. He is a leading member of the firm’s internal Technology and Computer Committee where he is responsible for evaluating new software and keeping the firm informed of technological advances and updates.
 
Outside the office, Chris is an active member in the New Jersey Amusement Association, International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, the Builders League of South Jersey, SoPro Atlantic City, and is a committee member for the Young Professionals Chamber as part of the Camden County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
 
A Medford, NJ resident, Chris enjoys golf, cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, spending time with his two rescue dogs, and playing arcade and crane games. As of August 25, 2017, the firm congratulates Chris on his marriage to Amy Harkinson.
