Alloy Silverstein is proud to share that our Managing Shareholder, Ren Cicalese, CPA, PFS, CGMA, was recently recognized by his alma mater, Rutgers School of Business–Camden (RSBC), as he celebrates 50 years since his first class at Rutgers.
Ren graduated in May 1978 with a BA in Business Management with an Accounting concentration after an accelerated journey of completing 96 credits in just 30 months; all while balancing academics, work, and varsity baseball. His time as a Scarlet Raptor was marked with dedication and achievement, including earning the 1977 MVP award in baseball and building friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
Ren credits his experience at Rutgers–Camden for instilling the discipline and resilience that shaped his professional career. For more than 46 years, he has been a driving force at Alloy Silverstein, where he continues to serve as Managing Shareholder and mentor to the next generation of accounting professionals.
This fall, Ren returned to Rutgers for the Meet the Firms recruitment event, where he reflected on his journey from an ambitious student in 1976 to a leader in the accounting field. Sharing advice with aspiring accountants, he encouraged students to embrace opportunities, nurture curiosity, and recognize the transformative impact of community support.
In his own words:
“To the students beginning this journey: embrace the abundant opportunities, nurture your curiosity, and remember, each interaction can shape your future.”
We are honored to celebrate Ren’s milestone and recognition, and we commend his continued commitment to both the accounting profession and the Rutgers community.
