Matilda Castren Claims Ladies European Tour Title at Gant Ladies Open

Team Alloy Pro-Golfer, Matilda Castren, is victorious yet again. This past weekend she claimed her first European Tour title at the Gant Ladies Open. Matilda accomplished the victory in front of her family and friends in her home country of Finland.  She won the Gant Ladies Open by three strokes at Auru Golf course in Turku, Finland. This win will help her to potentially secure a spot to play in the 2021 Solheim Cup. This was the first of Matilda’s four chances to earn a spot on the Solheim roster. She is currently ranked #58 in the world and is expected to move up after this weekend’s success.

This is Matilda’s 4th season partnering with Alloy Silverstein. She will be playing in the 2021 Olympics representing Finland this August. This past June, Matilda won the LPGA Mediheal Championship. Last season, Matilda received her first professional victory in October 2020 at the Symetra Tour’s Mission Inn Resort & Club Championship. She plays alongside  11 other professional golfers on Alloy Silverstein’s 2021 “Team Alloy,” representing players on the PGA, Korn Ferry, LPGA, and Symetra Tours from more than 10 different countries.  To see the rest of our “Team Alloy” pro-golf alliance, click here.
