Spring 2017 Spotlight Employee: Kelly Raso, CPA

Our firm spotlight this quarter is on Kelly Raso, CPA.

In 1984, Kelly earned her B.S. in accounting from Rider University, graduating with honors. She joined Alloy Silverstein in 1986 and became an associate partner in 2008. Kelly is licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs.

Celebrating her 30th anniversary with Alloy Silverstein last year, Kelly has shared her tax and accounting expertise with a variety of closely-held and family businesses throughout her career, particularly to business owners in the real estate, retail, professional service, and not-for-profit industries. As a business advisor, she looks forward to working with each of her clients on a daily basis as there is always a new challenge to accomplish in helping them attain their goals when it comes to tax, growth, and general business matters.

Not only is Kelly the lead partner in our Hammonton, NJ location, but she is a past president of the Greater Hammonton Chamber of Commerce, serving from May 2013 – May 2015, and remains on their Board of Trustees. In addition, Kelly is a member of the Business Advisory Council for Atlantic County Community College.

Internally at the firm, she serves as a member of the firm’s Individual Tax Committee and is involved with many of the Human Resources responsibilities on behalf of Alloy Silverstein’s team members. Kelly has been active for many years with the firm’s growing involvement in fundraising for the American Heart Association along with our Adopt A Family program at Alloy Silverstein’s Hammonton office location. In recent years, she has been recognized by both SNJ Business People and South Jersey Biz as a top woman in business in South Jersey.

Kelly, a resident of Hammonton, enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters. Her other hobbies include exercise and physical fitness. Due to her love for horses, she recently began horseback riding lessons. Kelly is also a wine enthusiast and enjoys a fine glass of wine, especially from her family’s homemade collection.
