June 17, 2026
New Jersey employers are facing significant changes to employee leave laws beginning July 17, 2026, and now is the time to prepare.
Recent amendments to the New Jersey Family Leave Act (NJFLA) will expand leave protections, broaden employer coverage, lower employee eligibility requirements, and create new considerations related to New Jersey Family Leave Insurance (FLI) and Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI). These changes will impact how employers administer leave, update policies, and manage workforce planning.
To help employers understand these new requirements, Alloy Silverstein and Abacus Payroll are hosting a complimentary webinar with Brown & Connery LLP that will break down the upcoming changes and what they mean for New Jersey businesses.

Employee eligibility requirements are also being significantly lowered, meaning more workers may qualify for protected leave.
