Winter 2016 Spotlight Employee: Richard A. Middleton, CPA

Our spotlight this quarter is on Richard A. Middleton, CPA

After growing up in Lincroft, NJ, Rich earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1981. He joined Alloy Silverstein in 1984 and became an associate partner in 1990. Rich is licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New Jersey Society of CPAs.

Throughout his career, Rich has developed specialties within the real estate, manufacturing, wholesale, financial services, and other various service industries. Thanks to his emphasis on personal interaction, Rich has built and maintains many long-term, valued client relationships.

In addition to resolving his clients’ tax and business problems, Rich is one of our go-to auditing sources, with more than 30 years of audit related experience. He coordinates the firm’s accounting, auditing, and quality control committees, which monitor GAAP and GAAS developments and inform staff about industry and regulatory changes that affect our practice. He also oversees the firm’s internal and external peer review process.

A resident of Voorhees, Rich is active in the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey, is currently Chairman of the Board for the Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association, and previously served on the board as Treasurer for the Mental Health Association of Southwestern NJ. Outside of the office, he appreciates outdoor activities including road biking, swimming, and landscaping. Rich also enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
