New Jersey 30 Day Fund Program

Former governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, and his wife, Mary Pat, have initiated the New Jersey 30 Day Fund Program to help small business owners survive the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund’s goal is to save as many New Jersey jobs as possible.  This is not a government-funded program, it is an organization powered by the private sector.

The funding will award up to $3,000 and does not need to be repaid.  If a business that has been awarded money from the fund decides to “pay it forward” they have the option to direct the money back into the 30-day fund at a later time. From there, it will be transferred to another New Jersey business in need.

Eligibility Requirements

Small businesses that qualify include:

  • Businesses with three to thirty employees
  • Based in New Jersey
  • Operating for at least a year
  • Owned and operated by a New Jersey resident

Application Process

The application opened on June 10, 2020. It is designed to be an easy process and should take no longer than 10 minutes. To apply, you must fill out the one-page form and create a brief video about your business and employees.  The application will then be reviewed by the board of advisors that Chris Christie and Mary Pat have formed. You will know within 3 days if your business has been approved for the grant.  If approved, you will receive an immediate transfer of funds.
