As an Alloy Silverstein team member since 2005, Ren provides tax, accounting, and advisory services to a broad range of clients, with a specialty for manufacturers, title insurance companies, and professional service providers. He has a fondness for all things tax and also specializes in providing State and Local Tax services (SALT) as he enjoys learning the different tax rules in each state.
Ren, an Associate Partner at the firm, is a 2009 graduate of Rutgers University where he received his B.S. in Accounting and Finance. The following year he achieved his M.S. in Taxation from Philadelphia University. Ren is certified in the state of New Jersey, has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams, and may offer securities through Avantax Investment ServicesSM, Member FINRA, SIPC. He is also licensed to sell life insurance.
Ren has been recognized several times as an up-and-comer by the New Jersey community for his contribution to philanthropy, passion for business, and impact on both the South Jersey business arena and the state’s accounting industry. He was distinguished as a “30 Under 30” by the New Jersey Society of CPAs in both 2011 and 2015 and a “40 Under 40” by SNJ Business People in 2014. Ren was selected as a Burlington County Times Emerging Leader Class of 2017, named the 2018 Young Professional of the Year by the Non-Profit Development Center of SNJ, and honored with the Volunteer Award by the New Jersey Society of CPAs in 2018.
Ren currently serves as a Director for the Southwest Chapter of the New Jersey Society of CPAs, Board Member of the Cooperative Business Assistance Corporation (CBAC), and sits on the Board for the Risk Management Association’s (RMA) Southern New Jersey Chapter. Internally at the firm, he is a member of the Alloy Silverstein’s Marketing and Tax Committees.
Getting to Know Ren
A Cinnaminson, NJ resident, Ren is married and enjoys music, comics (Batman, specifically), football, and golf when outside of the office. He is also a baseball enthusiast and Philadelphia Phillies fan, as one of his most prized possessions is his ticket to Roy Halladay’s no-hitter Game 1 of the 2010 NLDS.
