Ideas to Audit-Proof Your Tax Return [VIDEO]

Simple Tips to Reduce Your Chance of an Audit

1. Your income exceeds or doesn’t meet your various forms (W-2, 1099s, etc.)
2. Match the forms and reports, even if they are wrong.
3. Double check accuracy of valid social security numbers and their corresponding names.
4. Be consistent (and correct) with your dependent reporting.
5. Understand your chance of being audited.

Even if you believe you did everything correctly, audits still happen. Turn to your Alloy Silverstein CPA for guidance throughout the process.
