(Cherry Hill, NJ) On January 9, 2020, Alloy Silverstein Accountants and Advisors hosted its 12th Annual Externship Day event for area accounting students. The 2020 event accepted 15 students from area schools such as Rutgers University-Camden and New Brunswick, Stockton University, Rowan University, Neumann University, and Villanova University.
Externship Day began in 2009 with the purpose of bringing outside-the-classroom awareness of the everyday life of the CPA profession to area college accounting majors. Speakers with assorted career paths and at varying staff levels speak throughout the day, covering topics such as resume and interview tips, CPA exam best practices, and what a typical work day is like.
