Introducing a Monthly Blog from Managing Shareholder Ren Cicalese: Seeing The Whole Field

(Cherry Hill, NJ) Alloy Silverstein Accountants and Advisors, a leading South Jersey CPA firm, announces the launch of Seeing The Whole Field, a new thought leadership blog written by Managing Shareholder Ren Cicalese, CPA, PFS, CGMA. The blog officially launched in January 2026 and will feature one essay each month focused on business, judgment, and leadership.

While the blog has been a long-time idea, Cicalese said the timing felt right given the current state of the accounting profession and the broader business environment. After more than four decades advising business owners, executives, and families, he saw a growing need for perspective-driven insight that goes beyond technical guidance.

“Right now, business owners are dealing with more complexity, uncertainty, and pressure than ever before,” said Cicalese. “In South Jersey and across the profession, CPA firms are evolving, expectations are changing, and clients are asking for more than compliance. They want help thinking through decisions before problems surface. That made now the right time to finally launch a platform dedicated to my thoughts and insights.”

Each monthly post will be driven by real-world observations from Cicalese’s work alongside business owners across industries and generations.  Seeing The Whole Field is not intended to summarize tax law changes or publish technical updates. Instead, it offers a practical perspective shaped by experience, focusing on how leaders think, assess situations, and make decisions when context, timing, and judgment matter most.

The blog draws heavily on Cicalese’s lifelong connection to sports, particularly baseball and golf. Throughout the essays, he will often compare sports concepts to illustrate business realities, such as understanding the situation before the pitch is thrown, knowing when to lay up instead of forcing a shot, and recognizing that every move affects what comes next.

“In both sports and business, you can’t succeed by focusing only on what’s directly in front of you,” Cicalese said. “Good outcomes come from seeing the full situation, understanding what’s coming next, and making thoughtful choices before the moment passes. That’s the mindset behind this blog.”

While Seeing The Whole Field is a personal thought leadership platform, it reflects the broader philosophy of Alloy Silverstein Accountants and Advisors. For more than 65 years, the firm has served businesses throughout South Jersey and beyond, emphasizing judgment, relationships, and long-term thinking alongside technical excellence. The blog reinforces Alloy Silverstein’s role as an advisor focused not just on numbers, but on helping clients think more clearly and plan more effectively for what comes next.
