Federal Qualified Opportunity Zones: Impacted by Government Shutdown

Due to the current government shutdown, the IRS has announced the indefinite postponement of a public hearing on proposed regulations for Qualified Opportunity Zones.

The hearing, originally scheduled for January 10, is anticipated to be rescheduled two weeks after appropriations for the Department of the Treasury are restored.

 

What does this mean for you?

Investor questions and unanswered tax questions about qualified Opportunity Zones will remain officially unanswered until the hearing.
