Alloy Silverstein is expanding its Client Advisory Service Line and is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the preparation and processing and recording of payroll for a variety of small business clients in various industries.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career and gain specialized experience in payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls for clients
- Enter and verify employee data, time records, and deductions
- Help ensure accurate tax withholding and benefit calculations
- Maintain payroll records and respond to client inquiries
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Assist with payroll tax filings and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma at minimum; Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (completed or in progress)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
- Familiarity with payroll concepts and tax withholdings preferred
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Gusto, Paychex) is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn payroll procedures and regulations

Salary: Starting at $45,000+, depending on experience
