Experienced Tax Preparers and Enrolled Agents

Open Opportunity:

Throughout the year, Alloy Silverstein seeks experienced tax preparers or enrolled agents to join our public accounting team as semi-senior accountants, senior level staff, or per diems. If you are looking to make a career change or a move to the Philly region, we’ll welcome you with open arms.

This is an in-person position in our Cherry Hill, New Jersey office.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Prepare workpapers and financial statements
  • Prepare tax projections and estimated taxes
  • Review work of lower level staff
  • Conduct proper client interaction and communication

Ideal candidates are highly motivated with strong communication and analytical skills and are proficient in various tax application software packages. Prospective team members should have current knowledge of all industry and government regulations regarding tax matters and experience reviewing various corporate tax returns, financial statements, and year-end tax audits – along with completing individual and corporate tax returns, estimated income taxes, and assuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Experience using Xero is a plus.

Requirements

  • Experience preparing various tax returns or achieved enrolled agent status
  • Above-and-beyond client relations experience
  • Thorough knowledge of tax, accounting, and/or auditing procedures
  • Willingness to pursue and win new client opportunities
  • Leadership skills through mentoring lower-level team members
  • Passion for witnessing clients grow and succeed
  • Self-disciplined and inclined to take ownership of his or her work and schedule
  • A team advocate who will suggest new and innovative ideas to help the firm reach its objectives
  • “Cheerleaders” for our office charitable causes and community goodwill

Open Opportunities for Experienced Accountants:

  • Accounting Supervisor: 8-15 years’ experience with CPA designation.
  • Senior Accountant: 5-10 years’ experience with CPA designation.
  • Virtual Senior Accountant: Remote position with 5+ years’ experience with CPA designation.
  • Attest Audit Senior: Remote or in-person position with 4-12 years’ auditing or public CPA experience.
